Despina Crabb

Administrator and Quality Assurance Lead

Despina is an experienced administrator and has performed this role in numerous organisations both in the United Kingdom and Cyprus.

A native Cypriot, she gained her diploma in Office Administration from Intercollege Cyprus in 2002. From this she moved onto a role with IBM Cyprus, where she performed her duties in a multilingual capacity, handling communications and carrying out QA in both English and Greek.

After moving to the United Kingdom in 2008, Despina began working as a Business Development Assistant for EMU Ltd. (later Fugro EMU Ltd.). In this role, Despina was involved in all stages of submitting proposals for tender, including maintaining ITT databases, collation of proposal and pre-qualification submissions, maintaining success/outcome databases and assisting with monitoring of workload forecasting. Despina was also partly responsible for the company marketing plan and external communications, which included liaison between departments and the company PR consultant to collate and publish articles. It also included distribution of potential contract leads to relevant section managers and collation of new client contracts. Her role also included general administrative duties and auditing for both QA and HSE purposes.

After leaving Fugro EMU, Despina went on to work at Hampshire County Council for three years, where she had a varied role in the Green Team Estates and administration departments. Her role included helping to manage licences for new, existing and prospective tenants and assisting with organisation accounting.

Despina joined Carcinus in July 2019 as the company’s Administrator and Quality Assurance Lead. In this role, she helps to manage incoming enquiries and the tender/procurement process, as well as coordination of marketing materials and general book-keeping.
