Hydrographic Surveying
Carcinus provides a wide range of hydrographic survey services specialising in near shore and inland water ways.
We specialise in small autonomous vehicles equipped with high precision GNSS positioning systems and multibeam and single beam echosounders. Combined with our topographic survey services these systems can be used for a wide range of applications including:
- Lake surveys
- Inland flooded gravel extraction volume surveys
- River profile surveys
- Flood management / river catchment surveys
We undertake standard multibeam bathymetry surveys as well as combined multibeam and terrestrial laser scanning from a vessel, applications include:
- Bathymetric charting
- Structural inspections surveys
- Scan to BIM
- Intertidal zone evaluation surveys
Outputs include standard mapping and charting as well as point clouds, structural modelling, digital terrain modelling, BIM level modelling, and EA flood modelling formats.
